I used to read a lot of old Disney comics growing up. They had a certain charm in them: funny storytelling, 'muted' color palettes, and a simple but lovely art style that gave them a handmade visual. Like the authors put a lot of care into making them. Reading Annie & Laura made me remember those comics. It's honest, cute, and such a lovely little world I can't help but feel happy to have stumbled upon it. The dialogue is funny and silly, the art is really evocative of the style from the time, and the colors are gorgeous.

I can't stress it enough: this pilot is truly a 10/10 read.
